The Swedish are known for making delicate, thin pancakes or crepes that melt in your mouth. The thin pancakes can be spread with lignonberry jam and powdered sugar. Or they can be eaten with maple syrup and fruit. How about trying them with whipped cream or sour cream and sugar? This special non-stick baker makes that so easy! You can make classic French and Swedish, paper-thin pancakes easily with this non-stick baker. 7 1/2" dia. hot plate, ready light, automatic thermostat control, dipping plate and recipes are all included. Recipe for Thin Pancakes 1 cup sifted, all-purpose flour 2 cups whole milk (if available) 5 eggs 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon sugar 4 tablespoons melted butter Extra butter is needed if you are using a traditional metal frying pan. The non-stick Crepe Maker does not need extra butter for frying unless you choose to do so. Beat eggs very well. Add milk and beat a little more. Sift together the flour, sugar, and salt. Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Heat the Crepe Maker and bake the crepes on each side. Serve warm with fruit, preserves, confectioner's sugar, or syrup. Enjoy! |
